The Big Jerk

What do you get when Findlay's favorite deli collaborates with one of Ohio's (if not the nation's) best fine dining restaurants???  The Big Jerk?!?!

The Big Jerk is the offspring of The Revolver and Main Street Deli and is located at the corner of Main and Center Streets in downtown Findlay.  The Big Jerk offers carry out and delivery and is open every day at 4:00pm.  And - on the weekend it is open until 3am!  So, if you're leaving Nino's and think you need something other than liquid in your stomach - The Big Jerk is there to help you...

The menu is very limited, consisting of chicken and pulled pork sandwiches, meatball sliders, ramen noodles, soup, and sides such as black beans and rice and two distinctly appealing cole slaw offerings.  AND - for desert they offer twinkies and ho ho's!  You just can't beat that!

We had sliders and they were awesome - particularly with the Chili/garlic/lime Mayo.  Cathy had the pulled pork with thai bbq sauce topped with the red cabbage slaw.  I had the jerk chicken sandwich with the mayo, black beans and rice and a piece of cornbread.  The sandwiches are very flavorful (loved the little sliders...) and are quite a value at $5.00.  Sliders are $1.50 (or 3 for $5.00......... do the math - order 3 separately.)  The rice was tasty as was the cornbread.  I really hope the Big Jerk becomes a big success.  It is very eclectic and deserves the community's support.

I stopped by for the coconut curry chicken soup and it was wonderful. I also had the sliders and the jicama cabbage. You have got to get the sliders with the great mayo. Small menu but great food.

I just wish they were open for lunch...

This is one of my favorite restaurants and the atmosphere is definitely one of the best. The staff was also extremely friendly which made the visit much more pleasant and memorable.

To find Irish food at its best - come to Findlay, Ohio!

Jack & Jin's is one of those pleasant little surprises you stumble across every now and then (in my case, literally).  I had jogged past it on my Sunday run several times this winter, noticing the storefront in the small shopping pl...

I would love to try every 'small dish' on P.F. Chang's appetizer menu, but I know I won't.  Not that I don't plan to go there in future, its just that I know I will probably never get past the first item -   CHANG'S ...
