I saw Jethro Tull in 1977 at the Cincinnati Riverfront Colisium. They didn't have an opening act - and I was totally blown away by the whole experience. The sights, the sounds, the smells... and having an unknown girl pass out in my lap. And the band was amazing. Ian Andersont is not only a fantastic musician (floutist and vocalist) but is quite a showman. The musicianship was impeccable and I bet they sound just as good today. What are your top five favorite concerts? Mine are:
1. Genesis - "And Then there were Three" tour.
2. Uriah Heep/ Judas Priest/Rush - Farewell to Kings tour. Wow!!!
3. Legend Valley - John Cougar, Eddie Money, Cars, Cheap Trick, and Todd Rundgren/Utopia
4. Alice Cooper - you have to see him once in your life. It's amazing.
5. Woodstock 94 - the overall experience... I saw: Collective Soul, Porno for Pyros, Candlebox, Joe Cocker, Blind Melon, Melissa Etheridge (covering Janis Joplin!), Crosby, Stills and Nash with John Sebastian of Loving Spoonful (playing Woodstock at a Woodstock!), Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Aerosmith, Grateful Dead and Friends (Bruce Hornsby/members of The Band), and Todd Rundgren. Camped out in mud and rain. I'll get some pictures up.
